Frozen shoulder “clicked” into place
It was a weekday teaching service and my friend Veronica and I arrived in church late. By the time we arrived, the entire auditorium that houses about 1500 seats was almost fully filled. We managed to find two seats right at the back and in a corner but it was good enough for us.
Half way through the teaching, the Senior Pastor, prompted by the Holy Spirit, decided to interrupt the teaching and called for people who needed healing of bone problems, like frozen shoulders, knee or joint pains to receive healing.
My friend Veronica immediately got up from her seat and I got up with her and laid hands on her and we prayed.
It has been said that anointing is greater and more evident only in the front seats. Some people tend to imagine that the area near the stage where the worship team and preachers are standing are the best “holy spots” to receive a touch of God. I even have friends who will not sit at the back of the auditorium as they think there is very little or no anointing or presence of God there !
Yeah right !
Have we forgotten that God is omnipotent and omnipresent ? This particular stark healing incident has completely shattered that wrong perception…
The moment pastor heeded the strong nudge of the Holy Spirit and proceeded to do a mini healing service smack in the middle of his teaching ministry, God swiftly went into action. Veronica who has had a bad case of frozen shoulder after playing some racket games a few years ago had undergone all kinds of treatments seeking both Chinese and western medicine and had also regularly attended physiotherapy spending hundreds of dollars. All they gave her was temporary relief.
Little did she expect that she will be totally healed that night as that was supposed to have been just a teaching and training service. While pastor was praying for everyone who was standing, Veronica felt a strong push of her dislocated shoulder back in place…. Three loud audible “click” sounds firmly realigned and “unfrozed” her shoulders. It was as if someone or something with a strong pair of hands was adjusting her shoulders and pushing it back in place. It all happened so fast and furious that my friend didn’t have time to think or feel anything !
She was absolutely stunned ! The pain was instantly and totally gone. Finally this burden of stiffness that she had put up with for the past few years had completely and permanently lifted from her. She was able to lift her arm and move around her neck without any pain, stiffness or discomfort…
Freedom at last !…. She knew she had been healed and she never went back to her physiotherapist since then.
Praise the Lord for His wonderful grace and mercy, for giving pastor such a strong gift of discernment to understand the need for healing even though it wasn’t even a healing service, and the best part of all, it happened right at the end of the church hall where we were seated. That completely quashed all those rumors that God’s presence and anointing is greater only in the front !
